Cruisin' + Honeymoonin'
This year is going to be a crazy year of travelling and fun. To add to all those things, Justin and I have finally planned and booked our HONEYMOON & I am OVER the moon excited about it!
We had been brainstorming places for a while, and our hearts were pretty set on Barcelona. We figured we'd take 9 or so days, explore Spain, maybe take the train up to Paris for a day or two & see some of France. While that idea sounded perfect, we realized this year - with wedding expenses and the time we are already taking off - that it would be a little too stressful so we would do something more reasonable now, and in a year or two, we'd take that trip. I had mentioned maybe an all-inclusive resort in Mexico, or a few other ideas, but when it came down to the bang for your buck, we knew what we had to do.
We had talked about taking a cruise for our honeymoon before, but when we started really looking into it, it was the thing that made the most sense for us. A cruise is affordable, we don't have to "plan" much because it is mostly planned for you, you can relax and be alone, or do things on the boat like see a show or rock climb, etc. Plus, we are going to be able to see 3 places that we may have never visited in our lifetime. Between new restaurants on the boat, shore excursions, getting to explore new cities, plus the option for all inclusive drinks and an adult only area - we were hooked.
All that to say: WE ARE GOING ON A CRUISE! We'll head out to St. Maarten, San Juan, and Labadee (a private island owned by Royal Carribean off of Haiti) a week after the wedding. The thought of sailing away to clear blue oceans with a drink in my hand, the sun in the sky and my new HUSBAND there with me makes September feel even further away.
If you have never cruised, or would like to cruise and don't know where to start, let me know! We used a wonderful woman at a cruise agency that my co-worker uses and recommended and she took all of the stress out of it! They're completely free with the cruise line paying their commission and they send a wide range of cruise line/trip options based off of your wants and needs!
We can't wait to be able to share that adventure with you all - when we get back though because the cruise has no cell reception ;)
If you have any questions about cruising or want our agents contact information, just let me know!
