Friday Feature: Postable
I am going to share with you the saving grace of sending wedding invitations and save the dates. If you've never heard of the website Postable, then I am just going to say you're welcome in advance because it has changed my life! From collecting addresses, sending cards, and even saving your contacts' birthday's, this website will be everything you'll need to help you save time on sending your invites!
Postable is super easy to use. I am mainly using it to collect the addresses of our friends and family. This way, all the information we will need for every guest will be in one place - completely organized and easy to search. To create an account, you go to Postable, in the top right hand corner there will be a "Sign Up" button, and then you'll fill out your information! Super easy and takes maybe one minute - tops. Once you make an account, you have so many options.
I logged in, clicked "Address Book" and then "Request" and Postable will come up with a specific link for you to share with every family member and friend. When they click the link, it will ask for any information you want. Their name, address, email, phone number, birthday, spouse, spouse's information, etc. The list goes on and on. We wanted to use Postable simply to collect addresses but we also included spouse's name, phone number and email so we had that information just in case! But the form they fill out is completely customizable to your needs. It only takes a few minutes for your guests to complete too - which I was told over and over how nice and awesome using this was! Once they're done, it saves directly to your address book on the website and will be sorted in alphabetical order by first name (but you can change that to however you want). Then you have all the names and addresses you'll need for sending your save the dates and invitations!
On top of collecting your guests information, Postable also sells cards! Holiday cards, wedding cards, thank you cards, save the dates, anniversary cards, birthday cards, get well soon cards. All customizable and even better? THEY WILL FILL OUT, STUFF, AND SEND CARDS FOR YOU. Another thing I really love about them is that their cards are tree-free and recycled! So they say "no trees were harmed in the making of any of our cards". If you really hate filling out envelopes or have terrible handwriting and don't want to take the time, Postable will do it all for you! And their pricing isn't that bad, either! If they do the mailing for you, they say "Cards are $3.50 each plus postage and $2.50 each if you send ten or more. Postage is $0.49 in the US and $1.15 international. Postcard stamps are $0.30 US and $1.15 international". The cost of them filling out the cards and sending them (so long as you like one of their cards and choose to use them) costs just about as much as it would for you to buy customizable cards in bulk from any other invitation company, fill them out and send them yourself. But, using Postable saves you from the stress of actually writing out every card, licking the envelope shut and mailing them.
I could go on and on about everything I love about this website, but I'll let you have a look for yourself. It has been a time and life saver and I know it will be for you, too! Check them out at www.postable.com or click here to go directly to their site! I would love to hear your feedback on it and see if it helped you, too! I am so happy I am using Postable for our address book and I will definitely be looking into their card service!
